Ahmad Mohammad AlAli

Dr. Ahmad M. AlAli, a Kuwaiti Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Resident, earned his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from The University of Manchester in 2017, followed by a Master of Science (MSc) in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2018, supported by a merit scholarship from the Kuwait Ministry of Higher Education.

He began his professional journey at the Kuwait Ministry of Health, refining his skills across various specialized dental centers and hospitals during a one-year internship. In 2019, Dr. AlAli further developed his expertise in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department at Al-Adan Hospital, serving the Al-Ahmadi Governorate.

Since January 2021, Dr. AlAli has been with Kuwait University’s Faculty of Dentistry, pursuing a residency and fellowship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery as a scholarship recipient, aiming to join as a faculty member. His training includes an internship in 2021 at Virginia Commonwealth University Health System in the United States, where he worked with great surgeons such as Dr. A. Omar Abubaker, Dr. Robert A. Strauss, Dr. Shravan Renapurkar, and Dr. Daniel Hawkins. In early 2023, he continued his education at McGill University in Montreal, Canada, joining both the Certificate of Oral Surgery and the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency programs working with esteemed surgeons including Dr. Nicholas Makhoul, Dr. Michael El-Hakim, Dr. Antoine Chehade, Dr. Geneviève Chiasson, Dr. Julia Pompura, Dr. Jordan Gigliotti, Dr. David Koppel, Dr. Katrina Kontaxis, and Dr. Sina Hashemi. Despite his relatively brief professional tenure, Dr. AlAli has authored and co-authored numerous articles in prestigious indexed journals.

From a young age, Dr. AlAli was actively involved with the Kuwait Science Club, fostering his passion for science and innovation. He has represented Kuwait in various local, regional, and international conferences, exhibitions, and courses. His innovative spirit has led to multiple patents registered with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and the European Union Patent Office. Notable inventions include the “Dental Flossing Device,” which won the Kuwait Youth Excellence and Creativity Award in 2016, presented by H.H. the Late Amir of Kuwait Shaikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, and the “Surgical Wire Twisting Tool,” which is patented lately in the USPTO and applicable in the fields of OMFS, trauma, orthopedics, and dentistry.
